Best Time To Visit Ranganathittu

Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary is spread across a sprawling area of 0.67 square kilometers. One can find it just 19 kms aware from Mysore. It is situated at the banks of River Cauvery. It has large number of magnificent birds. If you visit it in the month from June to November, they are an ideal month as the bird nests and Ranganathittu sanctuary is also at its utmost beauty.

From September through May, and especially in the months of April and May, the park's natural beauty is at its peak for visitors. During the monsoon season, the park is a luscious green, but the roads are sloppy and wet. Despite the arid conditions, wildlife can be seen close to water sources during the summer months. The ideal time of year for bird watching also occurs then.
