Dooars is the native term for the floodplains of the northeastern part of India around Bhutan, stretching from the river Teesta on the direction of the east to the river Sankoshi to the west. The region known as Dooars serves as the entry point to Bhutan.

Dooars experiences no tourist during the months from June to September, as it is their off-season.
