We wanted to surprise our son on his 12th birthday with a short trip to Vietnam. Thrillophilia has been our constant travel partner for the past few years and we love their services. We have had some of the best travel memories served by them and we wanted the same for our son’s birthday.
I contacted Yash, one of the sales representatives of Thrillophilia who has helped us in our last three trips to Kashmir, Thailand and Dubai. He had arranged an amazing Dubai trip for us, the first time when we booked a package from Thrillophilia. After that, we directly contact him, take his suggestions and immediately book the package from the site. After reading some reviews of Vietnam tour with Thrillophilia of other travellers I instantly called him to inform that we were looking for a Vietnam package for our son’s birthday. He understood all our requirements and asked for a day’s time to prepare the itinerary for us.
The next day, as expected, he sent us the perfect ‘Escape to Vietnam’ package for 5 days and 4 nights. I checked the Vietnam trip reviews of that package to know the experiences of other travellers. Over the call, he explained the itinerary, confirmed all the necessary details and that’s it, our trip planning was done. That’s how easy it is for us to plan even an international trip with Thrillophilia.
Our adventure began in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. Our driver picked us up from the airport and dropped us off at our hotel. Our first day was at leisure so we decided to explore the city on our own. After resting for a while, we went to the beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake. There we enjoyed a soothing boat ride which was the perfect start to our trip. From the lake, we went to Hang Be Market for some shopping. In between our shopping, we also tried some local snacks like Vietnamese Pizza and Spring Rolls.
The next day we went to Ninh Binh which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We first visited Hoa Lu which was earlier the capital of Vietnam. There we visited a few temples which were built during the Le Dinh Dynasty. Next, we went out exploring the stunning Tam Coc caves on a boat. The caves were mesmerising and the scenic boat ride was a cherry on top. I had read in one of the Thrillophilia Vietnam trip reviews that the couple had rented bicycles to explore the neighbourhood and I really wanted to do it too. So afterwards, we rented cycles from Tam Coc to reach Bich Dong Pagoda. It was indeed the most enjoyable experience, however, I was facing difficulty paddling because of my dress. My husband saw me struggling and he became my saviour by offering me a ride with him. After a really fun day, we went back to our hotel to take some rest.
Day 3 was our son’s birthday as well as the most exciting day of our trip. It included a full day and overnight cruising tour of Halong Bay. All of us dressed up our best and checked-out of our hotel in Hanoi. We boarded the cruise from Tuan Chao Harbour and started our journey on the sea. Throughout the day, we explored several places like Titop Island, Pearl Farm Village and Duck Islet. We even enjoyed a lot of fun activities like kayaking, swimming and snorkelling.
At night, we were playing games when a staff member came and kept a beautiful chocolate cake on the table. Right on time, Yash called and informed us that it is complimentary from the company as well as wished our son Happy Birthday. Thrillophilia never fails to amaze us with its happy surprises and proves again and again why they are different from other sites. We celebrated our son’s birthday and ended the night with a delicious five course meal.
The next day, we explored a few other stunning attractions of Halong Bay like Surprise Cave and Paradise Cave. In the evening, we checked-out from the cruise and got transferred to Hanoi. It was our free day so we kept it simple. After sleeping a lot, we went out at night to explore nearby. We found a beautiful cafe on the street where we decided to have our dinner. After a simple meal, we went back to our hotel.
One of the many reasons why I keep going back to Thrillophilia is because they tend to go above and beyond for their customers. Their little extra efforts is what makes them stand out. Seeing my son smile because of the unexpected cake was priceless for me and it’s all because of them. I am dropping this Thrillophilia review of Vietnam trip to let people know that just like me, they should try planning their trip with them and find the perfect travel companion.
